Succulent Plants Are Thick, Fleshy, & Engorged With Water

Succulents are known to be plants with the thickest and most fleshy textures as they engorge themselves with water from what they retain in their soil. They are actually named after the Latin word "sucus" which means "juice" or "sap". Succulents adore bright lighting and need approximately six hours of sunlight and/or artificial growing light per day. We recommend rotating them often if kept by a window where light may only strike one side at a time. They like their roots to be completely dry in between watering. Remember in the winter time for those of you in Canada especially or northern climate territories, take them away from the window sill to prevent them from being stressed from drafts or spurts of cold air interacting with their local environments.
